The Proceedings of the 9th Brazilian Symposium on Computing Systems Engineering (SBESC 2019) bring the papers written in English presented at the edition held in Natal/RN, from November 19-22, 2019. In this issue, the proceedings include 28 papers. These works were selected thorugh a blind peer review process. The program committee of the event was coordinated by Francisco Vasques (FEUP) and Marcelo Götz (UFRGS), who organized this volume. The papers which integrate this volume were subbmitted on August, 02, accepted for publication on September, 13, and the final version was submitted on October, 29.
