The Proceedings of the 1st Regional School on Computing of Rio Grande do Sul (ERCOMP-RS 2020) bring the papers selected and presented in the online edition of the event on November 4 to 6, 2020. In this issue, the proceedings include 4 full papers and 7 short papers. These papers were selected through a peer-review, from a total of 11 full papers and 10 short papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 36% and 70%, respectively. The event's program committee was coordinated by Rejane Frozza (UNISC), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 25/09/2020, accepted for publication on 09/10/2020, with the final version submitted on 19/6/10/2020.
