Automatic detection of Cephalometric Points from anatomical contour analysis
Abstract
This paper describes the introductory phase of a study that aims to develop mathematical models and computational algorithms for, from the analysis of anatomical contours, perform the automatic detection of Cephalometric Landmarks. This search is justified by the attempt to eliminate subjectivity in the process of the cephalometric analysis. As preliminary results were modeled algorithms to perform detection of eleven different Cephalometric Landmarks, nine of them were between good and satisfactory results and only two of them have problems in the detection process.References
