Case-Based Reasoning and Data Warehousing in Support of Decision-Making in Pre-Hospital Care

Abstract

The increasing in the number of accidents, natural disasters and urban violence, become essential the emergency response, characterized as Prehospital Care. However, the computer support in this type of scenario is limited. This article presents an approach based on the joint use of Case-Based Reasoning and Data Warehousing, able to support decision making during the APH. Preliminary results confirm the suitability of approach in the definition of the information necessary for decision-making and in identifying the elements to be used in the representation of cases.
