The Proceedings of the 6th Regional School on Information Systems of Rio de Janeiro (ERSI-RJ 2019) bring the articles selected and presented at the technical sessions of the edition held in Duque de Caxias, from October 24 to 26, 2018. The theme of this edition was "Privacy and data security in a digital society". In this edition, the Proceedings include 7 full papers and 5 short papers. These papers were selected from 18 Full Papers and 16 Short Papers submissions, with acceptance rates of 38% and 31%, respectively. The event was coordinated by Thiago Silva de Souza (UNIGRANRIO) and Daniel de Oliveira (UNIGRANRIO).
