Low-Cost Assistive Videolaryngoscope for Teaching and Training Intubation Procedures
Abstract
This paper introduces an innovative assistive video laryngoscopy system to enhance medical training and procedural visualization. It was built under the IoT paradigm by integrating hardware, software, sensors, and a camera within a traditional laryngoscope via a wireless network. It offers real-time data and enhanced visuals. Preliminary evaluations, informed by interviews with nurses, indicate that the system adheres to functional and performance requirements, demonstrating its potential to improve healthcare professionals' instrument handling skills.
