The Proceedings of the 7th Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality (SBQS 2008) bring the papers selected and presented in the Florianópolis/SC. In this issue, the proceedings include 30 full papers. These papers were selected through a blind review, from a total of 142 full papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 21,1%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Marcello Thiry (UNIVALI), Christiane Gresse von Wangenheim (UNIVALI), and Ana Cristina Rouiller (UFRPE) who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 03/21/2008, accepted for publication on 05/02/2008, with the final version submitted on 05/12/2008.
