The Proceedings of the 19th Brazilian Symposium on Computing Applied to Health (SBCAS 2019) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Niterói, RJ, during the period from June 11 to June 14, 2019. In this issue, the proceedings include 22 full papers and 16 short papers. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer-review process, from a total of 70 papers and 48 short papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 31% and 34%, respectively. The event's program committee was coordinated by Artur Ziviani (LNCC) and Natalia Castro Fernandes (UFF), who organized this volume, with the collaboration of Débora Christina Muchaluat Saade (UFF), who is the event’s general chair. The articles in this volume were submitted on February 25, 2019, accepted for publication on April 18, 2019, with the final version submitted on April 25, 2019.
