The Proceedings of the 16th Brazilian Symposium on Multimedia and the Web (WebMedia 2010) bring the articles selected and presented at the edition of the event held in Belo Horizonte, from October 5 to 8, 2010. This edition includes 31 full papers and 12 short papers, selected from 104 full papers and 35 short papers submissions, with acceptance rates of 29.8% and 34.3%, respectively. Each submitted paper was assigned to at least three program committee members for review. The symposium committee adopted a double-blind review process to provide a fair selection from the submissions.
