Current Issue
The Proceedings of the 5th Workshop on the Implications of Computing in Society (WICS 2024) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Brasília, DF, Brazil, from July 21 to 25, 2024, as part of the 44th Congress of the Brazilian Computing Society (CSBC 2024), whose theme was "Digital Desert: The Disconnected and Unseen World". In this issue, the proceedings include 17 papers, which were selected through a double-blind peer review process, among 36 submitions, impliing an acceptance rate of 47,2%. The event's Program Committee Chair Larissa Lucena Vasconcelos (IFPB) organized this volume. The papers in this volume were submitted on 04/03/2024, accepted for publication on 05/10/2024, having the final version submitted on 05/25/2024.
