Proposal of a System for Plantar Pressure Analysis Using Pressure-Sensitive Insoles
Abstract
This paper presents the evolution of the Foot Inspect system, a computational tool for analyzing plantar pressure and creating customized insoles. The initial proposal used an Arduino microcontroller and pressure sensors, while the new version uses a NodeMCU ESP32 with Bluetooth communication, Force Sensitive Resistors (FSR) sensors, which are capable of measuring forces ranging from 0 N to 445 N, and a desktop application for data processing. The system generates heat maps of plantar pressure using geostatistical techniques, such as Kriging, and integrates with a database and a web interface to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of foot deformities.References
