Companion Proceedings of the Brazilian Symposium on Cybersecurity (SBSeg)

The Companion Proceedings of the 26th Brazilian Symposium on Cybersecurity (SBSeg 2026) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Armação dos Búzios/RJ, Brazil, from September 01–04, 2026. In this edition, the proceedings include the papers selected for the following tracks:

• Thesis and Dissertation Competition (CTDSeg) received a total of 18 paper submissions, of which 10 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 55.5%. These works were selected through a single-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Rossana Maria de Castro Andrade (UFC). The papers were submitted on 06/26/2026, accepted for publication on 08/13/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/21/2026.

• Tools received a total of 52 paper submissions, of which 21 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 40.4%. These works were selected through a single-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Ian Vilar Bastos (UERJ) and Michelle Silva Wangham (RNP). The papers were submitted on 07/24/2026, accepted for publication on 08/03/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/12/2026.

• Workshop of Digital Identity Management (WGID) received a total of 13 extended abstract submissions, of which 11 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 84.6%. These works were selected through a single-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Frederico Schardong (IFRS) and Andrey Elísio Monteiro Brito (UFCG). The extended abstracts were submitted on 07/15/2026, accepted for publication on 07/29/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/05/2026.

• Workshop On Scientific Initiation And Undergraduate Works Ongoing (WTICG) received a total of 64 full paper submissions and 21 ongoing work submissions. Of these, 39 full papers and 7 ongoing works were accepted, resulting in acceptance rates of 60.9% and 33.3%, respectively. These works were selected through a double-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Nicollas Rodrigues de Oliveira (UFF). The papers were submitted on 06/05/2026, accepted for publication on 07/18/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/03/2026.

• Quantum Cybersecurity Workshop: Theory, Technologies, and Applications (WQuSec) received a total of 13 paper submissions, of which 5 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 38.4%. These works were selected through a single-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Roberto Samarone Araújo (UFPA) and André Riker (UFPA). The papers were submitted on 07/12/2026, accepted for publication on 07/26/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/07/2026.

• Industry Track received a total of 18 paper submissions, of which 15 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 83.3%. These works were selected through a single-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Marcos Antonio Simplício Junior (USP) and Charles Christian Miers (UDESC). The papers were submitted on 05/25/2026, accepted for publication on 07/10/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/06/2026.

• AI Cybersecurity Workshop (WCIA) received a total of 48 paper submissions, of which 16 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 33.3%. These works were selected through a double-blind peer-review process. The event was coordinated by Victor Hayashi (USP), Oscar Paiva (Bradesco), Diego Kreutz (UNIPAMPA), and Rodrigo Sanches Miani (UFU). The papers were submitted on 07/27/2026, accepted for publication on 08/10/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/14/2026.
