2024: Proceedings of the 15th Brazilian Symposium in Information and Human Language Technology

The Proceedings of the 15th Brazilian Symposium on Information and Human Language Technology (STIL 2024) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held from November 17 to 21, 2024, in the city of Belém/PA, Brazil, collocated with the 34th Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS 2024), 21st National Meeting on Artificial and Computational Intelligence (ENIAC 2024), and 12th Symposium on Knowledge Discovery, Mining and Learning (KDMiLe 2024). In this edition, the proceedings bring together the papers selected for the Main Conference and the papers accepted in its satellite events:

  • 15th Brazilian Symposium on Information and Human Language Technology (STIL 2024) received a total of 99 paper submissions, comprising 78 full papers and 21 short papers. Among the full papers, 24 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 30%. For the short papers, 13 were accepted, corresponding to an acceptance rate of 62%. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer review process. The program committee was coordinated by Adriana Pagano (UFMG) and Daniela Barreiro Claro (UFBA). The papers were submitted on 09/02/2024, accepted for publication on 10/03/2024, and the final version was submitted on 10/10/2024;
  • 9th Portuguese Description Journey (JDP 2024) received a total of 13 paper submissions, of which 10 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 77%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The event was coordinated by Raquel Meister Ko Freitag (UFS) and Rerisson Cavalcante de Araújo (UFBA). The papers were submitted on 09/02/2024, accepted for publication on 10/03/2024, and the final version was submitted on 10/17/2024;
  • 9th Undergraduate Research Workshop on Information Technology and Human Language (TILIc 2024) received a total of 16 paper submissions, of which 15 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 94%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The event was coordinated by Eloize R. Marques Seno (IFSP) and Marcio Inácio (University of Coimbra). The papers were submitted on 09/02/2024, accepted for publication on 10/03/2024, and the final version was submitted on 10/10/2024.
