2025: Proceedings of the 16th Brazilian Symposium in Information and Human Language Technology

The Proceedings of the 16th Brazilian Symposium on Information and Human Language Technology (STIL 2025) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held from September 29 to October 2, 2025, in the city of Fortaleza/CE, Brazil, collocated with the 35th Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS 2025), 22nd National Meeting on Artificial and Computational Intelligence (ENIAC 2025), 40th Brazilian Symposium on Databases (SBBD 2025), and 13th Symposium on Knowledge Discovery, Mining and Learning (KDMiLe 2025). In this edition, the proceedings bring together the papers selected for the Main Conference and the papers accepted in its satellite events:

  • The 16th Brazilian Symposium on Information and Human Language Technology (STIL 2025) received a total of 112 paper submissions, of which 52 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 46.4%. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer review process. The program committee was coordinated by Marlo Souza (UFBA) and Raquel Freitag (UFS). The papers were submitted on 06/22/2025, accepted for publication on 08/01/2025, and the final version was submitted on 08/15/2025;
  • The 10th Portuguese Description Journey (JDP 2025) received a total of 23 paper submissions, of which 10 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 43.5%. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer review process. The event was coordinated by Elisa Marchioro Stumpf (UFRGS) and Leonel Figueiredo de Alencar (UFC). The papers were submitted on 06/23/2025, accepted for publication on 08/03/2025, and the final version was submitted on 08/15/2025;
  • The 10th Undergraduate Research Workshop on Information Technology and Human Language (TILIc 2025) received a total of 11 paper submissions, all of which were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 100%. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer review process. The event was coordinated by Dennis Giovani Balreira (UFRGS) and Rafael Oleques Nunes (UFRGS). The papers were submitted on 07/04/2025, accepted for publication on 08/01/2025, and the final version was submitted on 08/15/2025.
