Abstract

This work reports a teaching experience lived in the Informatic and Mathematics Education course of a degree in mathematics during the first semester of 2019. The objective was to investigate the following problem: how computational thinking (CP) can contribute to the teaching of mathematics while enabling the development of the skills and abilities provided in the National Curricular Common Base (BNCC)? From this experience, we intend to reflect on some challenges that arise when the CP is worked on the initial formation of teachers. The results obtained point to great challenges regarding the teaching of CP in undergraduate courses.
