The 40th Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC 2020) was held in an online format, from November 16 to 20, 2020. It was organized in Cuiabá/MT by the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT ), having profs. Cristiano Maciel (UFMT) and Eunice Nunes (UFMT) as general chairs. National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) provided financial support. The theme of this edition was "Artificially human or Humanly artificial? Challenges for society 5.0". The proceedings, which gather the scientific works approved in the CSBC's base and satellite events, were organized by the event's Publication Coordinator, prof. Thiago Ventura (UFMT), together with the coordinators of each base and satellite event. The proceedings volumes are listed below.
