Knowledge construction through deepfake: ethical challenges of artificial intelligence in education

Abstract


This study investigates the ethical issues associated with the use of deepfakes in education, focusing on "digital educational immortality" through the digital recreation of deceased educators. Using an exploratory methodology with a qualitative approach, the research reviews the literature to identify general ethical challenges: the authenticity of knowledge, the social nature of learning, and the social and political implications. The results highlight the need for a responsible and critical use of deepfake technologies in education. The study concludes by demonstrating the ethical complexity of deepfakes, emphasizing the importance of reflecting on their impact on educational dynamics and knowledge construction.
