The Proceedings of the 32nd Brazilian Symposium on Databases (SBBD 2017) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Uberlândia/MG, from October 02-05, 2017, as part of the VI Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems (BRACIS 2017) and the V Symposium on Knowledge Discovery, Mining and Learning (KDMiLe 2017). In this issue, the proceedings include 15 full papers and 19 short papers. These papers were selected through a peer-review, from a total of 45 full papers and 38 short papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 33% and 45%, respectively. Other two papers, originally submitted to the full paper track, were accepted as short. The event's program committee was coordinated by Carmem S. Hara (UFPR), Bernadette F. Lóscio (UFPE), and Damires Y. S. Fernandes (IFPB), who organized this volume.

The short courses presented at the event were compiled and published in an ebook. To access it, visit the SBC OpenLib book catalog.
