Conceptual Analysis and Modeling of an Electronic Health Record System for Health Centers
Abstract
Under the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), Healthcare Centers play the role of primary healthcare providers. Technology has the potential to contribute to new discoveries and new ways of providing health assistance with improved quality; however, there are not yet comprehensive computer systems for the management of Healthcare Centers that are integrated, flexible, and agile. In this paper, we describe our efforts on the analysis of healthcare contexts and on the conceptual modeling of a system for managing healthcare centers devoted to public health. The system is currently under development and the prototype of its first module, targeted at homecare assistance, is already being used in a production environment.References
