The Proceedings of the 14th Medical Informatics Workshop (WIM 2014) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Brasília/DF, Brazil, from July 28 to 31, as part of the 34th Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC 2014) which had the theme "Social Systems and Mass of People Events: Expanding Challenges on Computing". This volume was organized by Denise Giulato (UFU) and Sérgio Freire (UERJ), general chairs of the event. The articles in this volume were submitted on April 20, accepted for publication on June 1, with the final version submitted on June 8.
