The Companion Proceedings of the 21st Brazilian Symposium on Computing Applied to Health (SBCAS 2021) bring the articles selected and presented in the tracks Artur Ziviani Award for Theses and Dissertations (CTD) and Scientific Initiation Papers Contest (CTIC) in the online edition of the event, from June 15 to June 18, 2021, In this edition, the companion proceedings include 16 articles published in the Artur Ziviani Prize for Theses and Dissertations (CTD) and 12 articles published in the Scientific Initiation Papers Contest (CTIC). These papers were selected through a blind peer-review process. The program committee of the Thesis and Dissertation Contest (CTD) was coordinated by Paulo Eduardo Ambrósio (UESC). The program committee of the Scientific Initiation Papers Contest (CTIC) was coordinated by Márcia Ito (FATEC) and Deborah Ribeiro Carvalho (PUCPR). The coordinators of the trails program committee, together with Lucas Ferrari de Oliveira (UFPR), general coordinator of the event, organized this volume. The articles that make up this volume were submitted on April 29, 2021, accepted for publication on May 17, 2021, with the final version submitted on May 28, 2021.
