The Proceedings of the 37th Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering (SBES 2023) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held from September 25-29, 2023, in the city of Campo Grande/MS, Brazil, as part of the 14th Brazilian Conference on Software: Theory and Practice (CBSoft 2023). In this issue, the proceedings include 61 full papers distributed in four tracks: Research Track, Education Track, Insightful Ideas and Emerging Results Track, and Tools Track. These works were selected through a double-blind review. This volume was organized by Carla Silva (UFPE, Brazil) and Rohit Gheyi (UFCG, Brazil), program committee coordinators of the Research Track; Tayana Conte (UFAM, Brazil) and Rafael Prikladnicki (PUCRS, Brazil), program committee coordinators of the Education Track; Igor Steinmacher (Northern Arizona University, EUA) and Sabrina Marczak (PUCRS, Brazil), program committee coordinators of the Insightful Ideas and Emerging Results Track, and finally, Leopoldo Teixeira (UFPE, Brazil) and Silvia Vergílio (UFPR, Brazil), program committee coordinators of the Tools Track.
