Abstract

This paper presents the communicability analysis of a decision-making critical game based on Self-Determination Theory (SDT) to generate reflection on the consequences of usign design patterns in digital games. The Communicability Evaluation Method (CEM) was used to identify communicability breakdowns from the perspective of the message receiver. The results showed issues that affected the critical potential of the game, identifying aspects to improve the game’s communicability and thus maximize its reflective impact.
