2019: Companion Proceedings of the 33th Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering

The Companion Proceedings of the 33th Brazilian Symposium on Software Engineering (SBES 2019) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Salvador, September 23-27, as part of the 10th Brazilian Conference on Software (CBSoft 2019). In this issue, the companion proceedings include two tracks: Insightful Ideas and Emerging Results, and Education Track. The Insightful Ideas and Emerging Results is composed of 12 research papers selected from 27 valid submissions. The acceptance rate was about 44,4%. The Education Track selected 17 papers, including 2 short papers, from 29 submissions. The acceptance rate was about 52% for the full papers. Each submitted paper was reviewed by three members of the program committee regarding its originality, relevance, technical soundness, and clarity of presentation, followed by a rebuttal phase where authors argued for their papers and reviewers revised their assessments and recommendations. The event's program committee was coordinated by Marco Aurélio Gerosa (Northern Arizona University, USA) and Rafael Prikladnicki (PUCRS, Brazil), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on June 3, and accepted for publication on July 17.
