Current Issue
The Companion Proceedings of the 22nd Brazilian Symposium on Information Systems (SBSI 2026) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Vitória/ES, Brazil, from May 25 to 28, 2026, with the theme "Intelligent Information Systems: Innovations, Applications, and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence". This volume was organized by Paulo Malcher (UFRA), Luiz Paulo Carvalho (UFRRJ), Rodrigo Zacarias (UFF), and Washington Cunha (UNICAMP), publication chairs, in collaboration with Karin Satie Komati (IFES) and Vítor Estêvão Silva Souza (UFES), general chairs of the event. This edition of the proceedings includes the selected papers for the following tracks:
- Thesis, Dissertation, and Undergraduate Work Contest in IS (CTDG-SI 2026) received a total of 32 paper submissions, of which 10 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 31.2%. These works were selected through a single-blind review peer-review process. The track was coordinated by José Maria David (UFJF) and Tadeu Moreira de Classe (UNIRIO).
- Industry and Innovation Track in IS (TII-SI 2026) received a total of 25 paper submissions, of which 14 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 56%. These works were selected through a single-blind review peer-review process. The track was coordinated by Nádia Puchalski Kozievitch (UTFPR) and Daniela Barreiro Claro (UFBA).
- New Ideas and Emerging Results Track in IS (NIRE-SI 2026) received a total of 62 paper submissions, of which 27 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 43.5%. These works were selected through a double-blind review peer-review process. The track was coordinated by Rita Suzana Pitangueira Maciel (UFBA) and Sean Wolfgand Matsui Siqueira (UNIRIO).
- Seminar on Monitoring the Grand Challenges of IS 2026-2036 received a total of 5 paper submissions, of which 4 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 80%. These works were selected through a single-blind review peer-review process. The track was coordinated by Renata Araujo (Mackenzie), Sean Wolfgand Matsui Siqueira (UNIRIO), Rita Suzana Maciel (UFBA), Clodis Boscarioli (Unioeste), and Tadeu Moreira de Classe (UNIRIO).
The papers included in this proceedings series were submitted on 02/23/2026, accepted for publication on 03/30/2026, with the final version submitted on 04/06/2026.
