2025: Companion Proceedings of the 21st Brazilian Symposium on Information Systems

The Companion Proceedings of the 21st Brazilian Symposium on Information Systems (SBSI 2025) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Recife/PE, Brazil, from May 19 to 23, 2025, with the theme "Innovation with Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Information Systems." The program committee was chaired by Mônica Ximenes Carneiro da Cunha (IFAL), who organized this volume together with Allysson Allex Araújo (UFCA), the publications chair of the event; and it was held under the general coordination of George Valença (UFRPE), Andrêza Leite de Alencar (UFRPE), and Ronnie de Souza Santos (CESAR School/University of Calgary). This edition of the proceedings includes the selected papers for the following tracks:

  • Thesis, Dissertation, and Undergraduate Work Contest in Information Systems (CTDG-SI 2025) received a total of 44 paper submissions, of which 15 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 34%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The track was coordinated by Edna Dias Canedo (UnB) and Rafael Dias Araújo (UFU). Papers were submitted on 02/03/2025, accepted for publication on 03/07/2025, and had their final versions submitted on 03/16/2025;
  • Industry and Innovation in Information Systems Track (TII-SI 2025) received a total of 36 paper submissions, of which 13 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 36.1%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The track was coordinated by Ivaldir Honório de Farias Júnior (UPE) and Nádia Puchalski Kozievitch (UTFPR). Papers were submitted on 03/06/2025, accepted for publication on 03/17/2025, and had their final versions submitted on 03/23/2025;
  • Emerging Themes, Ideas, and Results in Information Systems Track (TIRE-SI 2025) received a total of 109 paper submissions, of which 34 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 31.2%. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer review process. The track was coordinated by Marcílio Ferreira de Souza Júnior (UFRPE) and Maria Claudia Emer (UTFPR). Papers were submitted on 02/24/2025, accepted for publication on 03/26/2025, and had their final versions submitted on 04/07/2025.
