The Proceedings of the 4th Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality (SBQS 2005) bring the papers selected and presented in the Porto Alegre/RS. In this issue, the proceedings include 30 full papers. These papers were selected through a blind review. The event's program committee was coordinated by Jorge Luis Nicolas Audy (PUCRS) who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 03/11/2005, accepted for publication on 04/15/2005, with the final version submitted on 04/29/2005.
