The Proceedings of the 34th Brazilian Symposium on Databases bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Fortaleza, during the period October 7-10, 2019. In this issue, the proceedings include 13 full papers and 22 short papers. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer-review process, from a total of 47 full papers and 38 short papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of de 29,7% and 60,5%, respectively. The event's program committee was coordinated by Carina F. Dorneles (UFSC) and Fábio Porto (LNCC), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on May 28, 2019 (full papers) and July 21, 2019 (short papers), accepted for publication on August 19, 2019 (full papers) and September 03, 2019 (short papers), with the final version submitted on August 26, 2019 (full papers) and September 10, 2019 (short paper).
