The Proceedings of the 18th Brazilian Symposium on Computing Applied to Health (SBCAS 2018) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Natal, on July 22 to 26, as part of the 38th Brazilian Computing Society Congress (CSBC 2018), had as its theme "Computing and Sustainability". SBCAS activities included the presentation of papers resulting from research in the area, the presentation of work in progress, as well as guest lectures and discussion tables on current issues and challenges. A total of 80 papers were submitted, 51 of which were completed and 29 papers in progress. Of these, 19 full papers were accepted, with an acceptance rate of 37.3%, and 10 works in progress, with an acceptance rate of 34.5%.
