Abstract

The presence of women in STEM fields faces significant historical challenges due to social, institutional, and cultural factors. Initiatives such as extracurricular communities, mentoring, and university programs have positively contributed to the retention of women in higher education. To promote this retention, a prototype application was developed using Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) techniques learned in the first semester of 2024, under the guidance of Professor Ph.D. Isabela Gasparini, with the participation of 77 women from the university. The aim of the application is to foster communication and integration of women at UDESC-CCT, a campus predominantly focused on STEM courses.
