2026: Companion Proceedings of the 41st Brazilian Symposium on Databases

The Companion Proceedings of the 41st Brazilian Symposium on Databases (SBBD 2026) bring the papers selected and presented at the edition of the event held in São Carlos/SP, Brazil, from September 8 to 11, 2026. In this edition, the proceedings include the papers selected for the following tracks:

  • Workshop on Undergraduate Student Work (WTAG) received a total of 37 paper submissions, of which 22 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 59.5%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Helena Graziottin Ribeiro (UCS). The papers were submitted on 05/18/2026, accepted for publication on 06/22/2026, with the final version submitted on 06/29/2026.
  • Demonstrations and Applications received a total of 46 paper submissions, of which 23 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 50%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The forum was coordinated by Débora Pina (BSC). The papers were submitted on 05/11/2026, accepted for publication on 06/23/2026, with the final version submitted on 07/01/2026.
  • Workshop on Thesis and Dissertation (WTDBD) received a total of 8 paper submissions, of which 7 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 87.5%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Cristina Dutra de Aguiar (USP). The papers were submitted on 05/18/2026, accepted for publication on 06/22/2026, with the final version submitted on 06/29/2026.
  • Tutorials received a total of 3 paper submissions, all of which were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 100%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The event was coordinated by Karin Becker (UFRGS). The papers were submitted on 05/24/2026, accepted for publication on 06/14/2026, with the final version submitted on 06/30/2026.
  • Theses and Dissertations Contest (CTDBD) received a total of 14 paper submissions, of which 7 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 50%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The event was coordinated by Daniel de Oliveira (UFF). The papers were submitted on 05/08/2026, accepted for publication on 06/22/2026, with the final version submitted on 07/10/2026.
  • Data Science for Social Good Brazilian Workshop (DS4SG) received a total of 49 paper submissions, of which 34 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 69.4%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by José Maria Monteiro (UFC), Luis Zarate (PUC-Minas), and Sergio Lifschitz (PUC-Rio). The papers were submitted on 07/06/2026, accepted for publication on 08/04/2026, with the final version submitted on 08/08/2026.
  • Workshop on Data Fusion (WFD) received a total of 13 paper submissions, of which 9 were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of 69.2%. These papers were selected through a single-blind peer review process. The workshop was coordinated by Claudio Miceli de Farias (UFRJ), Pablo Rangel (Naval Research Institute), and Paulo Costa (George Mason University). The papers were submitted on 06/08/2026, accepted for publication on 06/22/2026, with the final version submitted on 06/26/2026.

The event's program committee was coordinated by Elaine Parros M. Sousa (USP) and José Maria da Silva Monteiro Filho (UFC), who organized this volume together with Denio Duarte (UFFS), SBBD 2026 publications chair.
