The Proceedings of the 8th Brazilian Symposium on Software Quality (SBQS 2009) bring the papers selected and presented in the Ouro Preto/MG. In this issue, the proceedings include 30 full papers. These papers were selected through a blind review, from a total of 145 full papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 20,6%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Cláudia Maria Lima Werner (COPPE/UFRJ) e Leonardo Gresta Paulino Murta (UFF) who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on 01/18/2009, accepted for publication on 03/17/2009, with the final version submitted on 04/06/2009.
