The Proceedings of the 3rd Brazilian Workshop on Social Network Analysis and Mining (BraSNAM 2014) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Brasília, during the period from 30 to 31 July 2014. In this issue, the proceedings include 17 full papers and 14 short papers. These papers were selected through a double-blind peer-review process, from a total of 57 papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 54%. The event's program committee was coordinated by Fabrício Benevenuto (UFMG) and Li Weigang (UnB), who organized this volume. The articles in this volume were submitted on April 07, 2014, accepted for publication on May 22, 2014, with the final version submitted on June 06, 2014.
