The Companion Proceedings of the 9th Brazilian Congress on Computers in Education (CBIE 2020) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held online (from Natal/RN) from 24 to 28 November 2020, as part of the 9th Brazilian Congress on Computers in Education (CBIE 2020) which had the theme "Development of skills and competencies for innovation and social impact". In this issue, the proceedings include papers selected through a double-blind peer review for the following subevents:

  • Alexandre Direne Contest for Theses, Dissertations and Undergraduate Work in Computers in Education (CTD-IE 2020), whose program committee was coordinated by Henrique Nou Schneider (UFS) and Ismenia Blavatsky de Magalhães (UFRN);

  • 6th Integrated Contest for the Development of Technological Solutions and Learning Objects for Education (Apps.Edu 2020), whose program committee was coordinated by Ismar Frango Silveira (UPM) and Emerson Alencar (UFRN).

The CTD-IE 2020 includes 13 works and the Apps.Edu 2020 includes 19 works. The coordinators organized this volume together with Rafael Dias Araújo (UFU), CBIE 2020 Publications Chair. The contests’ phases and submission dates can be accessed on the website of the event.
