Current Issue
The Companion Proceedings of the 5th Brazilian Symposium on Computing Education (EduComp 2025) bring the papers selected and presented in the fifth edition of the event held from April 7 to 10, 2025, in Juiz de Fora/MG, as part of the 2nd Brazilian Symposium on Computing in Basic Education (SBC-EB 2025). In this issue, the proceedings include the papers selected through a single-blind peer review process for the following tracks:
- New Ideas Lab, coordinated by Esdras Bispo Jr. (UFJ), with submissions on 02/14/2025, accepted for publication on 02/28/2025, with the final version submitted on 03/07/2025;
- 4th Workshop on Theses and Dissertations in Computing Education (IV WTD-EduComp), coordinated by Milene Silveira (PUCRS) and Taciana Pontual (UFRPE), with submissions on 02/09/2025, accepted for publication on 02/21/2025, with the final version submitted on 02/27/2025;
- 2nd Contest of Theses and Dissertations in Computing Education (II CTD-EduComp), coordinated by Heitor Costa (UFLA), with submissions on 02/07/2025, accepted for publication on 02/21/2025, with the final version submitted on 04/04/2025;
- Tutorial Proposals, coordinated by Amaury Antônio de Castro Junior (UFMS) and Anderson Correa de Lima (UFMS), with tutorial proposals submitted on 01/31/2025, accepted for publication on 02/25/2025, with the final version submitted on 03/03/2025; and
- Thematic Panels, coordinated by Ecivaldo Matos (USP), with proposals submitted on 02/28/2025, and accepted for publication on 03/12/2025.
There were 17 abstracts selected in the New Ideas Lab, 05 abstracts of ongoing master's/doctoral works presented at IV WTD-EduComp, 06 abstracts of completed master's/doctoral works presented at II CTD-EduComp, 05 tutorial proposals, and 03 thematic panel proposals. Leandro Silva Galvão de Carvalho (UFAM) was the general coordinator of the EduComp 2025 Program Committee. This volume was edited by Ivanilse Calderon (IFRO), Renato de Souza Garcia (IFMS), Ricardo Ferreira Vilela (UFCA), and Williamson Alison Freitas Silva (UNIPAMPA).
