The Proceedings of the 28th Workshop on Computing at School (WIE 2022) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held from November 16 to 19, 2022, in Manaus/AM, as part of the 11th Brazilian Congress on Computers in Education (CBIE 2022) which had the theme "Our technologies in Education and the appreciation of Brazilian identity and culture". In this issue, the proceedings include 35 full papers, which were selected through a double-blind peer review, with an acceptance rate of about 25%. The event's Program Committee was coordinated by Alberto Nogueira de Castro Júnior (UFAM) and Crediné Silva de Menezes (UFRGS) who organized this volume together with Rafael Dias Araújo (UFU), CBIE 2022 Publications Chair. The papers in this volume were submitted on 07/17/2022, accepted for publication on 08/19/2022, with the camera-ready version submitted on 08/21/2022.
WIE 2022 included four thematic tracks:
- Track 1: Educational experience reports on the use of ICTs, coordinated by José Luiz de Souza Pio (UFAM) and Moises Gomes de Carvalho (UFAM), pages 01 a 230;
- Track 2: Training of human resources for the use of ICTs in education, coordinated by Rosane Aragón (UFRGS) and Mariangela Kraemer Lens Ziede (UFRGS), pages 231 a 295;
- Track 3: Impacts of ICTs on society, coordinated by Henrique Nou Schneider (IES) and Sheilla Silva Conceição (SEMED/AJU), pages 296 a 376;
- Track 4: Experiences with technology during the pandemic period, coordinated by Daniel de Queiroz Lopes (UFRGS) and Rosalia Procasko Lacerda (UFRGS), whose format did not involve the submission of papers.
