2024: Proceedings of the 4th Brazilian Symposium on Computing Education

The Proceedings of the 4th Brazilian Symposium on Computing Education (EduComp 2024) bring the selected and presented papers in the fourth edition of the event held online from 22 to 27 April 2024, with the theme “The Challenges of Computer Education in the Context of the Popularization of Artificial Intelligence”. In this issue, the proceedings include 40 full papers, which were selected through a double-blind peer review, from a total of 85 full papers submitted, which implied an acceptance rate of 47%. The event's Program Committee was coordinated by Marco Aurélio Graciotto Silva (UTFPR). The papers in this volume were submitted on 10/23/2023, accepted for publication on 12/15/2023, with the final version submitted on 02/05/2024. This volume was edited by Williamson Alison Freitas Silva (UNIPAMPA), Newarney Torrezão da Costa (IF-Goiano), Pedro Henrique Dias Valle (UFJF), and Ricardo Ferreira Vilela (UFCA).

EduComp 2024 included five tracks:

  • Track 1: Research Papers, coordinated by Jean Carlo Rossa Hauck (UFSC) and Ricardo Edgard Caceffo (UNICAMP);
  • Track 2: Experience Reports, coordinated by Kiev Santos da Gama (UFPE) and Emanuel Ferreira Coutinho (UFC);
  • Track 3: Curriculum, coordinated by Ana Paula Lüdtke Ferreira (UNIPAMPA) and Ana Liz Souto Oliveira (UFPB);
  • Track 4: Educational Resources and Environments, coordinated by Rafaela Vilela da Rocha (UFABC) and Eduardo Figueiredo (UFMG); and
  • Track 5: Essays, coordinated by João Henrique Bersanette (IFPR) and Mirella Moro (UFMG).
