The Proceedings of the 19th Workshop on Computing at School (WIE 2013) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held in Campinas/SP from 25 to 29 November 2013, as part of the 2nd Brazilian Congress on Computers in Education (CBIE 2013) which had the theme "Informatics in Education: from research to action". In this issue, the proceedings include 43 full papers and 9 short papers, which were selected through a double blind peer review, with an acceptance rate of 40%. The event's Program Committee was coordinated by José Armando Valente (UNICAMP). The papers in this volume were submitted on August 5th, 2013, accepted for publication on September 9th, 2013, with the camera-ready version submitted on September 23, 2013.
WIE 2013 included three tracks:
- Track 1: Experience reports on the use of technology in education, coordinated by José Aires de Castro Filho (UFC), pages 02 to 228 (full papers) and pages 410 to 429 (short papers);
- Track 2: Training of human resources in computers in education, coordinated by Maria Elizabeth Bianconcini de Almeida (PUC/SP), pages 230 to 299 (full papers) and pages 431 to 435 (short papers); and,
- Track 3: Impacts of educational technologies on society, coordinated by Simão Pedro Marinho (PUC/MG), pages 301 to 408 (full papers) and pages 437 to 451 (short papers).
