Current Issue
The Proceedings of the 35th Brazilian Symposium on Computers in Education (SBIE 2024) bring the papers selected and presented in the edition of the event held from November 04 to 08, 2024, in Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil, as part of the 13th Brazilian Congress on Computers in Education (CBIE 2024), which had the theme "The role of digital technologies in Inclusive Education". In this issue, the proceedings include 190 full papers and 81 work-in-progress papers. They were all selected through a double-blind peer review, with an acceptance rate of 33%. The CBIE 2024 Program Committee was coordinated by Clodis Boscarioli (UNIOESTE) and Rafael Dias Araújo (UFU), who organized this volume together with Cleon Xavier Pereira Júnior (IF Goiano) and Laura de Oliveira Fernandes Moraes (Unirio), SBIE 2024’ Program Chairs, and Newarney Torrezão da Costa (IF Goiano) and Ana Liz Souto (UFPB), CBIE 2024’ Publication Chairs. The full papers that integrate this proceedings were submitted on June 27, 2024, accepted for publication on August 09, 2024, with the final version submitted on August 26, 2024, while the work-in-progress papers were submitted on August 15, 2024, accepted for publication on September 14, 2024, with the final version submitted on September 23, 2024. SBIE 2024 included five thematic tracks:
- Track 1: Methodologies and Digital Technologies for Education, coordinated by Fabiana Zaffalon (IFSul) and Tiago Primo (UFPel), pages 01 to 537 (full papers) and pages 2563 to 2636 (work-in-progress);
- Track 2: Gamification, Digital Games, Robotics, and Immersive Technologies in Education, coordinated by Luiz Rodrigues (NEES/UFAL) and Marcela Pessoa (UEA), pages 538 to 1042 (full papers) and pages 2637 to 2904 (work-in-progress);
- Track 3: Human Factors in Digital Technology for Education, coordinated by Anna Beatriz Marques (UFC) and Natasha Valentim (UFPR), pages 1043 to 1441 (full papers) and pages 2905 to 2958 (work-in-progress);
- Track 4: Artificial Intelligence in Education, coordinated by Gabriel Alves (UFRPE) and Jéssica Figueiredo (UERN), pages 1442 to 2012 (full papers) and pages 2959 to 3096 (work-in-progress);
- Track 5: Digital Technologies for the Development of Computational Thinking and Computer Education, coordinated by Pedro Henrique Valle (UFJF) and Williamson Silva (UNIPAMPA), pages 2013 to 2562 (full papers) and pages 3097 to 3353 (work-in-progress).
