2024: Companion Proceedings of the 23rd Brazilian Symposium on Games and Digital Entertainment

The Companion Proceedings of the 23rd Brazilian Symposium on Games and Digital Entertainment (SBGames 2024) bring the papers selected and presented in Manaus/AM, Brazil, from September 30 to October 4, 2024. The symposium was organized alongside the 26th Symposium on Virtual and Augmented Reality (SVR 2024) and the 37th Conference on Graphics, Patterns, and Images (SIBGRAPI 2024). This edition of the companion proceedings compiles full papers and short papers presented in six tracks and two activities integrated into the event: Arts & Design, Computing, Culture, Education, Industry, Health, Thesis and Dissertation Contest, and the MÁGICA Workshop (Games in Undergraduate and Basic Education). The program committee was chaired by Tadeu Moreira de Classe (UNIRIO) and Alessandro de Lima Bicho (FURG), who, together with the publication coordinator, Joaquim Vinicius Carvalho Assunção (UFSM), organized this volume alongside Jucimar Maia da Silva Junior (UEA) and Marcela Sávia Picanço Pessoa (UEA), local coordinators of SBGames 2024. The companion proceedings of SBGames 2024 included six thematic tracks and two activities:

  • Arts & Design Track: coordinated by Rian Oliveira Rezende (PUC-Rio) and Guilherme de Almeida Xavier (PUC-Rio);
  • Computing Track: coordinated by Jose Ricardo da Silva Junior (IFRJ) and Luiz José Schirmer Silva (UNISINOS);
  • Culture Track: coordinated by Igor Castellano da Silva (UFSM) and Isabel Cristina Siqueira da Silva (UFSCPA);
  • Education Track: coordinated by Daniela Karine Ramos (UFSC), Marcelo Luis Fardo (UCS), and Vanessa Andrade Pereira (UNIFESP);
  • Industry Track: coordinated by Sergio Cleger Tamayo (SIDIA) and Márcio Palheta Piedade (UEA);
  • Health Track: coordinated by Sergio Teixeira de Carvalho (UFG) and Tânia Zaverucha do Valle (FIOCRUZ);
  • Thesis and Dissertation Contest: coordinated by Eduardo Filgueiras Damasceno (UTFPR) and Marcelo de Silveira Siedler (IFSul);
  • MAGICA Workshop: coordinated by Fernanda Gabriela de Sousa Pires (UEA) and Luma da Rocha Seixas (UFBA).
